Apprenticeships have changed dramatically over the last decade. Today, apprentices can earn a salary, gain nationally recognised qualifications and build valuable work experience whilst developing their careers.

Understanding Apprenticeship Levels

Level 2

Apprenticeship Equivalent to GCSE level.

A great starting point for learners beginning their career journey and developing foundational skills.

Level 3

Apprenticeship Equivalent to A Levels.

Often regarded as the most common apprenticeship level and suitable for school leavers.

Level 4 & 5

Apprenticeships Equivalent to Higher Education qualifications such as HNCs, HNDs and Foundation Degrees.

Ideal for learners looking to develop specialist skills.

Level 6

Apprenticeship Equivalent to a Bachelor's Degree.

Often referred to as a Degree Apprenticeship.

Level 7

Apprenticeship Equivalent to a Master's Degree.

The highest apprenticeship level currently available.
